Avas Approach

Every child is different. The way they learn, communicate, connect, and engage with the world is shaped by their individual strengths, interests, developmental profile, and experiences.

My approach is relationship-based, developmentally informed, and individualized. I take time to understand each child as a whole person and meet them where they are. My years of experience working closely with children have taught me that connection comes before correction, and understanding comes before intervention. When children feel safe, understood, and supported, they are better able to engage, build skills, and experience success.

My work draws from professional training and frameworks including DIR/Floortime, Social Thinking® methodology, and Orton-Gillingham–based strategies, thoughtfully adapted to each child's individual needs and goals.
